Carrabba’s Olive Oil Bread Dip is my favorite appetizer. We went to dinner at Carrabba’s last week and I had to make myself stop eating the hot bread and olive oil dip so I would have room for dinner. This recipe is the real thing. I got the recipe straight from Carrabba’s Italian Grill. This recipe is super simple to make and is one of my favorite things to make for spaghetti night. It is also a great addition to your charcuterie board at parties. Give this dip a try ASAP!
How to Make Carrabba’s Bread Dip
This herb olive oil dipping sauce is such an easy recipe to make with pantry staples. In a small bowl, whisk together parsley, basil, rosemary, oregano, garlic, red pepper flakes, kosher salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle a few teaspoons of the herb mixture in a small dish and add some extra virgin olive oil. Serve the dip with some crusty bread and enjoy!
- Carrabba’s uses fresh parsley, fresh basil, and fresh rosemary. I prefer to use all dry spices.
- Feel free to substitute fresh herbs. You will need 3 times as many fresh herbs as dried herbs.
- For this recipe you will need:
- 1 ½ teaspoon fresh chopped parsley
- ¾ teaspoon fresh chopped basil
- ¾ teaspoon fresh chopped rosemary
- If using fresh herbs, mix the spices in a small food processor.
- Feel free to substitute fresh herbs. You will need 3 times as many fresh herbs as dried herbs.
- Carrabba’s uses granulated garlic in their spice mixture. Feel free to substitute fresh garlic. I actually prefer to make this a fresh garlic clove. I like lots of garlic flavor!!
- Feel free to add some grated parmesan cheese to the spice mixture. YUM!
- Serve the olive oil herb dip with your favorite bread. Crusty Italian bread, warm french bread, or warm sourdough bread all work great.
- You can easily double, triple or quadruple the spice mixture.
- Store mixture in an airtight container at room temperature.
