One of my favorite parts of eating out is the yummy bread dip that’s served at restaurants.  I especially love the dip from Carrabba’s and after learning how easy it was to make from home, there was no turning back!

There are different copycat versions of this dip.  Some use fresh herbs, some use dried, and some use fresh garlic.  I make mine using all dried herbs.

That way, I can keep a jar mixed up and ready to go any time I want.  Instant appetizer – or am I the only one that could make a meal of warm bread dipped into olive oil and herbs?

Ingredients

To make this easy 5 minute appetizer, you’ll need the following bread dipping spices:

  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • Black Pepper
  • Dried Oregano
  • Dried Rosemary
  • Dried Basil
  • Dried Parsley
  • Granulated Garlic
  • Kosher Salt

Olive oil for serving.

Expert Tip – you can also add fresh minced garlic and grated parmesan cheese when mixing the spices with olive oil.

To make this easy olive oil bread dip, just mix the ingredients together!  That’s it.

I like to keep mine in a small mason jar.  When you’re ready for your appetizer (or lunch if you’re me!) just spoon 1 tablespoon of the spice mixture into a small bowl and pour over the olive oil!

This is so good!  I now keep a jar of it handy at all times.  In about 5 minutes you can have one of the best appetizers or snacks (or again lunch!) that you can eat.

Sometimes I add fresh garlic and sometimes grated Parmesan cheese, but you don’t even have to do that, it’s good just the way it is.

Expert tip – this also makes a great seasoning for salad dressing. I just add about ½ teaspoon to a classic oil and vinegar dressing.  It would be great with my Lemon Vinaigrette.
